Weight Stigma Awareness Training
This workshop is intended to raise people’s awareness of the tremendous impact our negative attitudes towards overweight and fat can have on our children, our patients, our loved ones and our-selves.
Nutrition and Eating Disorders
This workshop provides an overview of how food works; how an anorectic pattern of eating may develop; how a bulimic pattern of eating may develop; how a yo-yo pattern of eating may develop and how these are inter-related. It creates the framework for nutrition recovery, and an overview of the kinds of skills that will be necessary for the recovery process.
This workshop presents an overview of how food works, the skills needed to support behaviour change and basic principles of appetite awareness training. The workshop can be tailored to meet the needs of the audience (diabetes, heart health etc).
